No matter what type of auto adapter kit you choose make sure of several things before you buy. Check out the bluetooth version and make sure it is compatible with your bluetooth phone. Will you need professional installation or can you add it in yourself? Make sure that you do have a spot where it can be used. Dashboards vary from manufacturer and model to model so make sure you can fit it in where the device was intended to go. If it is a mirror type than you will have to remove your present rear view mirror which will have to be done by a professional. Will you stay connected to your call if your car is turned off? Will you have to find a place for a separate speaker [usually included] or will it mute and operate through your car stereo? Some devices have built in speakers but be sure to check the sound quality. Does it have echo cancellation and is it capable of reducing the surrounding noise? What is battery life? Is your automobile kit voice activated? That is an absolute necessity for convenience as well as safety. And watch the type of adapter that has a screen where you can receive text messages. You don't want to be tempted into trying to read the incoming message while you are driving!
